My idea of a New Year's eve celebration, began early in the evening but with a very good reason.
Well, I just about managed it. A small break from the kids, after being coup up for long hours indoors.
Yesterday was a good one... until around five in the afternoon, I almost went to hospital with my son, because he had a severe cough fit and couldn't breathe.
Oh dear! everything was rosy until out of the blue he just coughed, coughed and coughed. How do you stop a ten year old boy from coughing and screaming? He definitely was upset and just couldn't keep still...
Tim. Tim. Come and sit here.
He cries and coughs.
Look at Mummy.
He cries and coughs.
Listen I need to...
He cries and continues to cough.
Tim. Mummy needs to know...
He cries and coughs.
Tim. Stop it!
He cries and coughs.
I can't help it.
This is why I need to ask you something. It's important.
He continues to cry and cough.

On a scale from one to ten. How severe is your breathing?
He coughs severely.

You don't understand. I can't go through another night with Tim coughing like this. He needs to go.

You shouldn't be drinking cold water if you have a chesty cough.
I didn't know.
Off course...  Tim, in a scale of one to ten how bad is your cough?
It's zero.
And what about you're breathing?
It's zero.
Tim smiles.
Perfect. In that case you don't need to go to hospital. High five.
A few minutes later Tim's sister walks into the kitchen.
Hi Daddy. What's for supper?
I haven't decided yet.
Mummy is curious. It's the last day of 2017.
Munequita, Have you got any New Year resolutions?
Don't know yet.
Anyway, I'll be out soon with your big sister and boyfriend. 
Where are you of too?

First I need to make sure Tim's ok. 
Later we all popped to a local little pub just across the road to have a glass of red wine to toast the new year to come. I was in desperate need of a glass of my favourite red wine. It's been a while I haven't had one. It was also the perfect time to be away, just for an hour from the kids and reflect on all the things which made a small positive impact in my own life during this last year.
I now look forward to a new year as a full time Mummy, working and studying and I hope all my lovely followers on my vlog have a great year to come, full of great dreams to a happy life and may 2018 be a year with a lot of meaning, success, direction, a time to stop and reflect, to try something new and give.
