Winter wonderland 2017...

I was pleased with Winter Wonderland hot Mulled wine £5. It kept

us warm in between having fun.

Winter Wonderland was definitely on the agenda as one favourite activity near Christmas. My brother who lives up North wanted to come down and visit us. It's been a while not seeing my brother and my sis in law. It's been a very busy year for both of them and it is a shame they live so far away and off course with me, as Busy Mama it's been difficult also to fit both of them in my agenda. Finally it happened. We were all very happy to hear they were coming down. The children were excited their favourite Uncle was taking us all to Winter Wonderland having fun together as a family, and we certainly did... except my youngest didn't go last minute. He had a temperature as the day went by. What a shame it happened! I did promised him we would go again and we did on his sister's 13th birthday. I was glad my other big daughter made it the second time we went, as she missed out when Uncle came down because of work. My brother and sister in law quickly popped round to see her at work not far from Winter Wonderland.

My brother and I had a ride on the wave swinger. As we made ourselves comfortable on our swings, we both gave each other a smiling glance. It's been a long time we haven't had fun together.

"Remind me brother" I said. "When was the last time we were both on a swing?"

We were both like big kids having fun together. Special times like today brought fond memories when we both lived in Satipo a small town in the jungle of Peru. Dad had made us a wing out of a black rubber truck tyre. This was held by thick rope tied onto three thick standing beams made out of wood. My brother and I had so much fun as we both swung endless of times in the humid heat of the jungle in our back garden giggling to our hearts contented... and of course today our time in Winter Wonderland reminded us of those happy moments. We finished our late afternoon together as we all gathered together, warming ourselves with hot mulled wine and hot chocolate. It was cold and drizzly.
